I had an upper middle class upbringing in Bombay; father was a chartered/cost accountant (now deceased) & mother a housewife. (My parents hailed from Kerala (Palakkad). Brothers are married.
Eldest of 3 brothers, I had my formal education in Bombay.
I opted for a career in aviation technology & after passing out, I have worked for various airlines in India as well as overseas.
My last aviation sojourn was with ' the King of good times', Kingfisher Airlines, until it ceased operations .
It has been an uphill journey since then.
At times, felt like a fish out of water! But persevered & kept going doing various jobs not in consonance with my core competencies.
I decided to branch out with a venture of my own until demonetisaton happened leaving me high & dry.
It was like hitting air pockets with alarming consistency (lol), like seeing another tunnel at the end of the one that I was in, just a glimmer of light and then darkness again.
Just when things seemed to be falling in place, the pandemic happened. Lock down's.......! Gasp!
Yes! I went through grueling times,
I have recently taken up a job as a Manager- Administration with a food processing unit located on the outskirts if Pune city (about 50 kms. to the south in Daund Taluka.)
Change indeed is the only constant!
Am in unchartered territory, far away from the 'rat race', the grime & dust, the cacophony that Mumbai is so well known for.
Here, I am at relative peace with myself, evolving yet again in the midst of pristine surroundings.
It's like starting all over again; back to square one!
Success is defined as going from failure to failure without losing your enthusiasm!! (lol).
I am one such bloke; a riches to rags story!
'Prosperity makes friends, adversity tries them'.
Bit I am thankful to the Lord that I atleast have a roof over my head, food on my plate & clothes to wear when many don't even have these basic necessities.
I am a keen sportsman ( not of late though), love badminton, cricket & volleyball.
Love reading, cooking, traveling, am a 'talkative chatter box', (lol), not a gossip monger. Can perhaps discuss everything right from astronomy to zoology..., some call me a 'Jack of all trades, master of none', I take it as a compliment.
I love humour & can still laugh at myself.
Hate bigots, hypocrites & am an an avid dog lover.
