My name is Ranjani Joshi. I was born into a small fishing family, just the four of us: my father, mother, younger brother, and me. We lived a simple life by the sea, full of love and togetherness, until everything changed in 2004. I was only 10 years old when the tsunami hit. In a matter of minutes, I lost my entire family. It’s still hard to describe what that felt like—to be so young and suddenly alone in the world.
After the tragedy, I was adopted and brought to the UK. It was a completely new world—new language, new faces, new life. I was incredibly lucky to be taken in by a family that loved and cared for me. With their support, I slowly rebuilt my life. I studied hard, found purpose in helping others, and eventually became a medical nurse. It’s a career I hold close to my heart. Caring for people during their most vulnerable moments has taught me strength, empathy, and resilience—values I’ve carried with me ever since I was a child.
I’ve now lived in the UK for 20 years. It became my second home, and the people here became my family. But life has a way of shifting again. Last year, I lost my adoptive mother. Her passing brought back a deep sense of grief, but also clarity. It made me think about where I truly belong, and where I want to plant my roots moving forward.
That’s when I decided it was time to return to India—not just for a visit, but to settle down and start a new chapter. India may not have many physical reminders of my past left, but it still feels like a part of me. I want to reconnect with that part, to find peace, and to build a life that feels whole.
Right now, I don’t own property in India, but I’m in the process of purchasing a home in india when I find a partner. I hope to create a permanent base there—a place that’s mine, where I can truly feel at home again. It’s a big step, but it feels like the right one.
About Life Partner Preferences:
I’m a nurse who spends most days taking care of others, so I’m hoping to find someone who can be my safe space at the end of a long shift. I really value kindness, honesty, and someone who knows how to communicate with both words and actions. A good sense of humor goes a long way—if you can make me laugh after a tough day, that’s a huge plus. I’m drawn to men who are grounded, supportive, and family-oriented. Life can be busy and messy, but I believe in showing up for each other through it all. I’m not into games—I’m looking for something real, steady, and full of mutual care and respect. If that sounds like you, we might just click.
