Akshara is the only daughter of kashmiri father and Marathi mother. She is well conversant with both the cultures. Both the families, maternal as well as paternal side are very well connected. Uncles, aunts, cousins all are well educated and well settled. She is very fluent in Marathi, Hindi and English and she knows Kashmiri, German and Japanese. She is a trained Bharatnatyam classical dancer & Black belt holder in Martial Arts. She is a good writer and she has written a book, which will soon be published. She is a very good painter too. As much as possible, she would prefer to settle in Pune, Maharashtra and not very keen on settling abroad. As an Onco Pathologist, she has presently involved herself in a research project being carried out by IISER, Pune and IIT Mumbai. In future she wants to get involved in research on Paediatric- Neuro-Onco Pathology.
