I am a free spirit and deeply love the freedom of expression through music, lyrics and more. I enjoy connecting with family members, friends, striking conversations with strangers and traveling to places. I take inspiration from cuisine, its history to connect with generations and across ethnicities.
I spent the early years of my childhood in Gandhinagar and often travelled to Ahmedabad to visit our extended family and friends. I was also blessed to have a younger brother Megh. While he is 6 years younger, playing, sharing things and growing with him is one of the best parts of my life. I was in this city till 4th grade, however, this part of the globe has itched nostalgic memories.
The next three years were with Bengalis in Kolkata. Losing friends from Gandhinagar and not knowing the language, I felt like an alien. But soon, I was part of the festivities in the Jal Vayu Vihar residential campus and one of my cousins being from the Bengali lineage helped me ease into this new culture. The school of Trinity is where I found my 1st love (strumming a guitar).
While we were getting comfortable with neighbors and friends in Kolkata, my father decided to pick an assignment in Delhi. So, we relocated for a couple of years. But, by now, I was good at making new friends. I continued learning guitar, learning to swim, schooling and making friends.
While my parents moved from West - East - North and a different part of the globe, my Nana - Nani stayed with us as a bundle of joy and were instrumental in making me comfortable with different cultures and geographies. I developed a special bond with my Nana, I enjoyed going on walks, playing games, music, and movies (Bhagat Singh, Lakshya, Tare Zamin Par and more).
In the year 2010, we relocated to the Baltimore - Washington region as I rolled into 8th grade. This was also the time I lost my most favorite companion (Nana). I was adapting to a completely new culture / life-style of US teenagers through High-school. I had a fair share of challenges. My passion for music helped me gravitate to the rock musicians John Lennon, Rush, Ozzy, Slash and many more. I created a high-school rock band and participated in several shows in this region. Educationally, I enjoyed Physics, Engineering subjects through the Project Lead The Way (PLTW) and Chemistry. While I respect those who undertake formal education, I have developed a hard-liner approach with organizations that evaluate students while not considering one's choice, liking and love to learn. Learning should be free and not constrained.
While I am a Hindu, I am a very liberal soul. I have read other religious books and believe in ‘the Har Har Mahadeva’ concept.
I enjoy travelling, undertaking site inspections, supporting installation and training nursing staff to improve healthcare outcomes.
I was into a committed relationship during the High School years till mid 20s. As this was not working, we have chosen to end this and go our own ways.
About Life Partner Preferences:
As a self learner, I look for a grounded and constructive partner who loves relationships. One who is open to exploring, learning what life has to offer while letting the love, emotions and instincts bring a better from one another. While I have prejudice and biases and am sure others would have as well, in this journey, I want to nurture and learn to drop mine.
While making money and becoming self-reliant is a necessity, the ‘how we do it’ is more important than the money and self-reliance itself. In similar lines, beauty and care should not come at the cost of one's originality. Achievement should not be at the cost of peace or fun.
For me the x-factor is the chemistry which gives strength and direction to work on imperfections to make them better than before.
