We are a joint, upper middle class, Iyer(vadama) family, my brother and myself living together in our own house in Chennai.
We belong to Athreya gothram.


We have an automobile components manufacturing unit which I am looking after. My brother is retired due to health reasons and his wife is a home Imaker.

Ashwin has a younger sister who is just married and settled in Singapore.
We hail from Rajamadam- Thanjavur

Ashwin is currently working as a global marketing manager at a leading SaaS company, shuttling between Chennai and Bangalore.

Ashwin passed out of Sishya school in Chennai and has completed a bachelors degree in commerce from Vivekananda college and a certificate program in management & advertising from MICA Ahmedabad.


My father Late Sri R. S. Venkatraman( Ashwin 's grandfather) was a BE(Hons) and held high position both in India and abroad. He retired as the Managing Director of Usha Martin - Thailand .
His( my father's ) maternal uncle was SriK. V. Srinivasan of Standard Motors and Union Company.
His three brothers were all professionals.
One of his sisters retired as a faculty from Bombay medical College.
My maternal grandfather Late Sri Natesa Iyer ( Kalidaikurichi) had put up a logistics business catering to the Manjolai estates thirunelveli and Mudis in Coimbatore
Sri N. Balasubramaniam ( my maternal uncle) Chairman of Natesan group involved in manufacturing of engineering products with units spread across the country and involved in exports ina big way .
Late Sri S.Viswanathan (CMD of Enfield India) was my periamma's husband.
