I come from a well-settled, multicultural family. From my father’s side, I am Indian (Hindu), and my mother is originally from the Philippines and Christian, which has given me a balanced and open-minded upbringing. I grew up in Canada, so English is my first language. My parents are happily retired and live in Toronto. I also have a younger sister who is married and settled in South Africa, where she runs her own business with her husband.
