We belong to Kauchhasa Gotra (Aangirasa, Maandhatra, Kauchhasa). My father is the 4th and youngest son and retired as an Assistant Executive Engineer from the Indravati Dam project. I am the only son with two younger sisters, both of whom are homemakers. The older of the two has done MA(Hist), B.Ed & LLB, brother-in-law retired as Audit Superintendent in the Director of Technical Education & Training. Younger sister did MCA and worked in Bahrain and Qatar, and finally settled in Chennai, where my brother-in-law is a software professional. My father-in-law also retired as an Assistant Executive Engineer from the Indravati Power project.

I was working in the IT department at Ispat Alloys in Balasore, and later moved to Bahrain to join Citibank as a software professional, where I am currently an Assistant Vice President. My wife is a homemaker. Son was born in Bhubaneswar, spent his childhood in Bahrain till class 5, later he completed his 10th and 12th education in Swaminarayan Gurukul in Hyderabad. Daughter completed MBA from SCS College, Puri and in search of job now.
