I was born in New York City, USA, and spent the early part of my childhood there before moving to India during my teenage years. My parents wanted me to grow up with a balance of both worlds, and to be honest, I think it worked. I can switch from speaking in fluent English to bargaining with auto drivers in Hindi without missing a beat.

I’ve completed my Master’s in Finance and currently work in the banking and financial services industry. Most of my time is spent reviewing portfolios, navigating market trends, and trying to figure out why my clients panic every time the stock market drops by 1.5 percent. I genuinely enjoy what I do, though I do wish Excel didn’t crash as often as it does.

People often describe me as a bit of an old soul. I enjoy quiet mornings, good coffee, and long walks where I end up overthinking minor conversations from three years ago. I read a lot, mostly about economics, psychology, and occasionally weird Reddit threads about people who invested in potatoes. I also write sometimes, mostly for myself, but it helps me process things. I wouldn’t say I’m a perfectionist, but I do alphabetize my spice rack and reorganize my files at 2 am for fun.

As for my family, we are fairly traditional in values but modern in lifestyle. My father is semi-retired but still very active, especially when it comes to giving unsolicited advice during dinner. My mother is a homemaker with a master's degree in multitasking. She knows every neighbour’s life story but forgets where she kept her own glasses.

We are simple, emotionally close, and prefer calm over chaos (unless there’s a lizard in the house, then all peace is forgotten). We value honesty, kindness, emotional maturity, and being able to laugh at ourselves when needed. We do not believe in dowry or material expectations. We just want good conversations, mutual respect, and someone who knows that life isn’t perfect but can still be beautiful in small, strange ways.

I’m looking for someone who is emotionally intelligent, calm in energy, and grounded in who they are. Someone who is kind without being performative about it, and who doesn’t treat vulnerability like it’s a weakness. A person who can communicate clearly, listens well, and knows how to argue without raising their voice or storming out of the room dramatically.

It would be nice if you’re curious about the world, open-minded, and have a good sense of humour — the quiet kind, not the stand-up comedy kind. If you enjoy good food, long conversations, and are okay with silence sometimes, that’s a big plus. Bonus if you know the difference between equity and ego.
