This profile is for my son Hamish Ramdev Iyer. We come from upper middle class, Nuclear Family. Hamish was born in Brisbane Australia and from the age of 2 grew up in London. Hamish has completed his MD / MS (Medical) and currently work in the Government Sector as a Resident Doctor in Scotland for 2 years before returning back to London. Hamish holds dual citizenship - Australia and British, and holds OCI (Overseas Citizen of India). As a child, Hamish completed 3 advanced diploma courses (5-year course) at the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, London in 1. Carnatic Vocal, 2. Bharathanatyam, and 3. Tabla. He used to chant Rudram and Chamakam regularly. Even though Hamish was born in Australia and brought up in London, I has good knowledge of our rich Indian culture and traditions. Hamish also attended basic Cambridge level Tamil language course at the Bhavan. Hamishs mother was born in Singapore and a Tamil Brahmin Iyer. Mothers side grandfather is from Palghat and grandmother is from Nagarcoil.Hamishs father was born in Madras and a Tamil Brahmin Iyer. Father??s side grandfather is from Trinelveli and grandmother is from Pudukottai. Hamish??s mother is a Fellow Chartered Certified Accountant and father is a Chartered Accountant. Hamish has one elder sister who is a medical doctor and married to a Brahmin doctor and has two daughters. She also lives in London with her in laws family. Hamish only knows English and no other Indian languages. He will understand basic Tamil.
